CENTER FOR HEALTH POLICY AND RESEARCH
The mission of the Center for Health Policy and Research (CHPR) is to promote and conduct applied research, evaluation, and education aimed at informing policy decisions that improve the health and well-being of people served by public agencies.
CHPR has established a unique approach to performing applied evaluation and policy development projects. This program, formerly called the Center for MassHealth Evaluation and Research (CMER), was created in 1998 as a collaborative effort with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) MassHealth Services.
One of the major policy centers which comprise Commonwealth Medicines's Health Policy Partnerships, the goal of the partnership between EOHHS and CHPR is to enhance the evaluation and research capabilities of EOHHS in support of improving consumer service and health outcomes for MassHealth beneficiaries while effectively managing costs for the Commonwealth.
Project Reporter is a web-based tool that enables CHPR and the Center's partners to more effectively collaborate on projects: finalizing a project statement, checking on the status of the project, reviewing documents, and group e-mail are among the features that Project Reporter provides.
